The 6 Nations is one of the most eagerly anticipated events on the rugby calendar every year and it has certainly not disappointed this time around . With both France and Scotland showing some significant signs of improvement there have been five quality teams competing for the title .
After three rounds , based on the performances , it was difficult to say who would be the eventual winners with a number of matches going to the wire . England turned up the heat in the fourth round however to roast Scotland 61-21 and clinch their second consecutive Grandslam .
Winning with a game to spare suggests that England are some way ahead of their rivals but the close nature of their first two matches when they had to grind out wins tells a different story . The French in particular ran them very close and it is a testament to the English side ’ s game management that they found themselves in the position to win the tournament with a game to spare after three rounds .
