A famous question Rugby Clubs are asked is “ So , do you all have other jobs when the season finishes ?” In short – no ! Here at Halifax , we ’ ve been working in overdrive at the Shay Stadium , making sure all the cogs are oiled for 2017 . This season , fans will notice a whole range of new and improved features …
1 . HERITAGE : Following a Heritage lottery grant , Halifax ’ s foundation , CCCT are delving into the great history of our Club . Every past player of all time has been issued with a Heritage Certificate , an accolade of their time with the Club .
2 . FAMILY ZONE : We ’ ve converted Block E or the East Stand - boasting arguably one of the best views in the ground – to our ‘ Family Zone ’. Here , families can relax , safe in the knowledge our zero-tolerance policy on bad language and abusive behaviour will protect little ears .
3 . FAXCHAT PROGRAMME : This year ’ s ‘ Faxchat ’ has been revamped and now contains more original reading than before . Regular features in 2017 will include Dave Fleming ’ s Blast From The Past , Where are they now ?, Community and Heritage articles plus player , sponsor , supporter and even WAGs profiles ! There ’ s also kids games , a centrefold action poster and Spectator Guides for all upcoming away games .
4 . WEBSITE FEATURES : The 2017 update not only made the site fully up to date , but brought with it a range of new features to benefit fans . Supporters can take advantage of discounts on all kinds of local products and services in the Club Directory . Our Community Rugby League page is now an in-depth
platform to signpost young players . All our Player Profiles now feature official statistics since they signed with Fax and the improved Spectator Guides section features EVERY game this season !
5 . DOING THE BUSINESS CLUB : A social networking club formed to give sponsors more value out of the business they do with Halifax RLFC . Regular meetings and activities are held in a relaxed environment conducive to networking , in order to encourage interaction and involvement of existing sponsors .
