“ We are a community club . We actively support local charities and schools wherever we can within the local community . We will be soon entering discussions with local schools regarding hosting games at our grounds as an introduction to the life of men ’ s rugby post school and university . We also run a summer mixed touch where we will be advertising this for senior members of local schools .”
Facilities
“ We have great ambitions for our current club ; we are starting to outgrow our facilities so we need to make some changes . Part of these changes for this year is the introduction of a year round floodlit training area . This will relieve the current strain on our only playing pitch and allow full recovery throughout the week . The new training area will also provide technical areas for development such as a scrum machine area and lineout practice zone .
Following on from the training area we are trying to source further land for a 2nd pitch for our 2nd XV and ladies teams to utilise . This will play a key part in the introduction of youth sections . Alongside this we are also looking to refurbish and extend the changing rooms . Obviously all of the above cannot be done overnight so this is part of the clubs current five year plan and we are hoping on local support for funding and sponsorship .”
The Future
“ Without a doubt the biggest challenge for the club is financial , with the 5 year plan confirmed it will require a lot of financial support from the club , local community and local sponsors to help grow and develop the club .
The plan put in place is for an entire revamp and expansion of the club in general , everything comes at a cost , so the club is starting to work closely with the surrounding area to hopefully get some assistance and support with our ambitions .” at F . Upson ( Enfield ) Funeral Home & Chapel
