The Gambling Commission
The Gambling Commission was setup
under the Gambling Act 2005 to regulate
commercial gambling in Great Britain in
partnership with licensing authorities.
They permit gambling as long
as it is crime-free, fair and open and
children and other vulnerable people
are protected. They also advise central
and local government on the impact of
gambling and its regulation, holding the
industry to account, ensuring operators
meet licensing standards and take action
against those that don’t.
