groups . This is difficult at times but we are committed .
“ We have a Club Coach Coordinator and look to have common themes all the way up through the different age groups . U18s train on the same nights as the seniors and often together . We try to encourage senior players to join in training sessions with various ages . On occasions mini teams have played exhibition games before a 1st XV match as well .
“ We do consider our club to be a community club . We welcome all levels and abilities . Members of the club have been active in helping others in our local communities . For example a group of our
1st XV helped Garioch RFC members in cleaning up in the Inverurie area after the floods earlier this season . Recently we hosted a charity match in memory of two players who sadly passed away .
“ We have our own little clubhouse which we are very proud of and is used by all ages . The setting of the pitches is superb but is unfortunately in a flood plain . In fact , our clubhouse has been flooded three times now and we have not had flood insurance for the last two . The spirit of the club is great however and everyone buckles down and gets the building back into operation . We have looked at moving or rebuilding at a higher level but costs are restrictive .
“ We did have a ladies team at one point but numbers unfortunately dwindled . Girls are very welcome and are actively involved in youth rugby .
“ We need to maintain the growth that we have seen at senior level . Numbers at the older ages of youth in the past few years have decreased and there will be a huge challenge in turning this about . This is also key as a feeder to senior rugby not only in Moray but also at Universities . Our ambition is to grow our numbers at all levels and to be the best that we can be and be as successful as we can be at all levels .”
