Creighton
in the hope all the work that is being put in will pay off, for a
good healthy future for rugby.
The lads themselves had the idea of not having any break
at the end of the season and chose to come down to the club
once a week to play some touch rugby. I think it shows how
much the players enjoy each other’s company with a game
of rugby and beer after; it’s a great place to be with your
mates.”

This Season
“The plan for this season is to continue to try and improve
as a team and encourage new players or returning players
to take up rugby at Creighton RUFC, and not just for the
men’s team, this year will be our first with a women’s social
team and they are looking to improve their numbers. This
summer also sees the club make a big push on reviving the
youth section that somehow faded away some years back.
We are supported by our main sponsor Diabetes U.K.
The Lorraine Hough tribute fund. Brian Hough is helping
us promote rugby and is encouraging local press and radio
to support Creighton. They sponsor Men’s, Women and
Youth. We have also had some new sponsors this season
for the women, it’s spy love buy, and supporting them is Jill
Allen who designed there logo. The men have new sponsors
for their shirts which is Lee Norman a local joiner and MY
WAY CODE, a charity for a mental health app for all ages.
We have a fence put up so that we can start to encourage
further sponsors.”
Youth
“Starting off our youth section is the club’s priority for
the future of the game. We already have a number of coaches
and volunteers ready and waiting to go, and everyone at the
club is willing to help out to make this a successful venture.
