uneaton Old Edwardians RFC has been working
hard during the off-season to make sure that
they are well set up both for the new campaign and the
coming years. We recently caught up with their President
Ged O’Neill to find out more about the good work that
they have been doing lately.
He told us, “From a facilities, social
and membership perspective things are
hugely positive. Also our coaching set-up
is excellent with Leicester Tigers’ Locky
McCaffrey and a selection of his Tigers’
team-mates instilling sound strategy and
technique into our young 1st XV squad’s
game management and training drills.

In our current first XV almost half of
the players are under 21. Youth rugby is
critical to our future.
