or Rugby Club is based on Lowerside Lane in Glastonbury and their first team
currently competes in the Tribute Somerset Premier League. They are led by
the team of President Richard Hopkins and Chair Dumiso Ncube and the club is looking
to progress under their guidance.
They have made a positive start to their league campaign
this time around, putting together a record of five wins
and three defeats from their eight matches. This sees them
sitting in the top half of the table with twenty six points on
the board.
This should provide them with a solid platform from
which to build as they look ahead to the rest of their
campaign. As long as they are able to retain their current
group of players and perhaps make one or two quality
additions they should be in with a good chance of mounting
a serious title challenge.
One of the highlights of the team’s performances has
been the attacking brand of rugby that they have been able
to produce. This has been reflected by the fact that they have
TS5C is a third party charity established in 2007 to
grant aid to young aspiring athletes in Somerset to
enable them to compete at the highest level.
It also supports healthy living projects and a
Wheelchair Basketball initiative in Somerset.
