supported by home unions, leagues
and associations including the
Association of Rugby Agents (ARA)
and will host representatives from
professional clubs, rights holders,
suppliers, service providers, media,
marketing and sponsorship agents
and many more.
Combining
an
unrivalled
conference programme, day one
(Thursday 03 November) will be
aimed at addressing the topical
issues affecting the pro game,
before attention switches to grass
roots rugby on the Friday.
And building on the success of
previous years, Rugby Expo will
again open its doors to community
clubs from across the country on
day two, with free tickets provided
to all club representatives.
The opening day of Rugby Expo
2016 will offer a glimpse into the
future of club rugby through
the eyes of the people who will
shape it. The packed conference
programme will cover a number
of key issues, discussed and
debated by leading figures
from rugby and the wider sports
industry, including incoming World
Rugby Chairman Bill Beaumont,
Premiership Rugby CEO Mark
McCafferty, Sky Sports Managing
Director Barney Francis and Wasps
Group CEO David Armstrong.

The second day of Rugby Expo has
been developed in partnership
with the RFU, who will focus on
the changes in age grade rugby,
strategies to support clubs retain
younger players, how to integrate
players from school to club rugby,
the growth in women’s and girls’
rugby, player welfare and the
introduction of the RFU’s new
funded artificial grass pitches
programme.
Speakers include Head of Game
Development John Lawn and
Head of Education Development
Mark Saltmarsh, Head of Club
Development Simon Winman and
Club Governance & Volunteer
Manager Dave Stubley, who
will run a workshop looking at
leadership in the game and its
effect on community rugby.
Also speaking on day two will
be Head of CSR at Premiership
Rugby Wayne Morris, Pitchero
CEO Mark Fletcher, Wasps CEO
David Armstrong and Head of
Community Neal Coupland.
To celebrate the move to the
Ricoh Arena, Wasps are offering
anyone who attends day two of
Rugby Expo two free tickets to any
Wasps home game this season
(excluding Wasps vs. Leicester
Tigers on 08 January 2017).
