For the first time in many years the club is not in partnership with other clubs and has to stand by its’ own decisions. It is a new chapter in the club’s long history dating back to 1909 when the first game was played against St Edward’s School. The decision to go it alone has generated overwhelming support from fellow Oxfordshire clubs, past players, vice presidents, sponsors and the R.F.U. Between them they managed to raise £20,000 in the post season to renovate the 38 Issue 64 Give it a TRY bar and function room at the club. The club very much believes that success on the field works in tandem with strong leadership off the field which was very evident by those who drove the renovation project forward. Last year was a defining season in the rejuvenation process at the club. It managed to field a Senior 1st XV which it had not done for several seasons and completed all its league fixtures, playing at Level 9 of the R.F.U. continuum. The aim for this season is to build upon that success and continue to grow the playing numbers and the abilities of the players. All at the club believe that a
