Sure is pleased to continue its sponsorship of the Isle of Man
Vagabonds Rugby Club and to be involved with its celebratory
activities in what has been a very important season for the team.
As a local company, Sure is passionate about getting involved in
and supporting island life and a big part of the company’s community
activity is through sports sponsorships.
Sure has sponsored the men’s and women’s teams of the
Vagabonds rugby club for a number of years and, as part of the 50th
anniversary celebrations this season, the company also supported a
special commemorative kit in the style of the original playing strip to
mark the special occasion.
“Clubs like the Vagas are pivotal to the Isle of Man in terms of
raising our sporting profile and this year is a particularly important
year in the club’s history as the men’s team is celebrating its 50th
anniversary. Supporting them is another way that Sure can do its bit
to build the island’s sporting heritage and help give something back to
islanders,” said Sarah Jarvis, PR and marketing manager at Sure.
“Sponsorship has a hugely important role in local sport as it
enables teams and individuals to achieve their full potential and

concentrate on training and competing by providing the funding
for vital equipment and kit and covering the costs of competing at
sporting events.
“As well as other benefits such as health and wellbeing and a
sense of social belonging and camaraderie; supporting the Vagabonds
Rugby Club really feels like giving something back to an entire
community.”
