Old Pauline FOLLOW US ONLINE TWITTER.COM/RUGBYCLUBMAG we had to look at how we could improve recruitment. We’ve addressed that now with a number of players coming down from the local school and feel that we’ve transitioned to a point where we can look forward to the new campaign with plenty of optimism. RR: We pride ourselves on being a social rugby club; we’re committed to being successful on the field but our priority is on everyone enjoying themselves. With three senior sides running people have the option of choosing the right level for them. We can offer some of the best facilities in London so there is a great base for people to come and improve their skills. Basically, we are a family club that want to give everyone attending an allround experience that they can enjoy. Pre-season JB: We’re working hard now to be ready for the new season, setting up fitness sessions to get the lads in the best shape possible. We’re looking to encourage players to get back involved with the club and just want to improve over the coming months. I’m confident that we’re coming out the back of a transitional period and are preparing for a successful campaign. The Future 2016-17 JB: We’re targeting getting the first team promoted this season, bouncing back at the first time of asking. We want to hit the ground running to build some momentum in the first half of the season and then carry that on from there. Our 2nd team is targeting a finish in the top three and the 3rds have a great chance of winning their league. 204 Castelnau, London SW13 9DW Community JB: The club works hard to play an important role in the community and held a family day this year in January which was well attended and will look to run similar events next year. RR: The nuts and the bolts of the club in terms of finances and facilities are in fantastic shape so we can just work on developing the playing side to be the best that it can be. The club is one of the founding members of the RFU and we all have a strong sense of stewardship here. It’s special to be part of a club with such heritage and we want to be successful whilst retaining its traditional ethos moving forward. 0208 563 9811| [email protected] THE BRIDGE IN BARNES The Bridge is beautiful and spacious and a fabulous party venue.
