magnificent weekend for
Thames Ditton based Old
Cranleighans, saw OCs
overwhelm Buxton (Derbyshire) 50 – 0
in the Final of the RFU Junior Vase at
Twickenham. The euphoric mood at the
club saw generations of former players
united behind the squad, alongside
some 300 from the club Mini section
as over 1000 supporters roared OCs to
victory. The margin of victory is the
highest in Junior Vase history, the
eight unanswered tries indicative of the
comprehensive triumph.

This season has been one of the best
in recent memory; the 1st XV sweeping to
the top of Surrey League One by a clear
twelve points, while the Mini section,
formed just five years ago, has won
several Festival trophies.
Success has come from the
unity amongst players, many of
whom played in the unbeaten
Cranleigh school side of 2006.
The club membership is drawn
from Cranleigh School alumni,
friends, and local Thames Ditton
