The club is also used by Newcastle School for Boys for all their rugby activities .

Next season will see us undertake considerable improvement to the playing areas as well as further development of social areas within the club . The club ’ s own micro brewery ( possibly unique to rugby clubs ), continues to be extremely successful and “ our brewer ” is looking to increase its output .

Oakle save Northern Football Club £ 13,300 per year
Northern Football Club contacted Oakle in 2012 as part of their plans to reduce costs at the club . Their boilers were large commercial type ; they had adequate timer controls , but were not set up with zoning capabilities . The club used the boilers for heating and hot water during the winter period , and for hot water during the summer . As a result , the boilers had to heat all areas at once , regardless of what rooms were in use . Some areas of the club , were heated by the boilers , but also required support by other heating provision .
The Solution
Following site surveys , Oakle recommended decommissioning the boilers and removing their requirement for a traditional wet system ; the proposal included provision of heating and hot water to the entire site , and also removed the requirement for the additional heating methods . Oakle provided a custom built hot water provision system .
Outcome - Savings £ 13,300 per year
The club have benefited from increased usability of their rooms , with comfortable temperatures year round . In addition , the club is seeing a reduction in both energy spend and wastage . Their Oakle maintenance contract also ensures that the equipment will run in top condition , and with maximum efficiency . By implementing Oakle energy efficiency solutions , Northern Football Club have ensured they will be in greater control of both their utility spend and profitability over the coming years .
