They are led by the team of President Ken Perry and Chair Simon Rabett and the club is looking to progress under their guidance. It was first established in the early 1930’s when Frederick Monkhouse and John Scurr looked at starting a team made up from members of the London School of Economics. They issued an invitation for anyone interested to attend a meeting at the Ship Tavern in Gate St, Holborn on 18th March 1932. They established the aim, “to add to the athletic reputation of London 94 Issue 61 University and to provide rugger teams for past students”. Since then the club has gone on to put together a history of which they have every right to be proud. So far this season it would be fair to say that the team has not perhaps enjoyed the campaign that they would have liked, putting together a record of four wins and fifteen defeats from their nineteen league matches. This sees them lying near the bottom of the table with twenty two points. They will now be looking to win their remaining games in order to finish as high up the league as possible. A couple of wins would help to boost the club and give them a better p latform to build from over the summer months. One of the highlights of the Weybridge Vandals set up is the superb youth set up that they have in place. This part of the club looks to provide young players from the local area with an opportunity to play the game in a safe and enjoyable environment whilst helping them to reach their full potential. It is important for any club that is looking to be successful over a sustained period of time to b e able
