Stanford combining my current youth side and the two senior teams making the club even stronger.” Present “The general mood at the club is good, with promotion last season for the 1st team and our 2nd team and ladies doing extremely well this year we are very pleased with the continued growth of the club. We have a large youth and mini section, that on a Sunday when they are all at home gives such a fun and exciting atmosphere. As a club we are very positive about the coming seasons. It has been a hard season for our 1st team getting to grips with the tougher league but we have achieved our goal of a mid-table finish with the knowledge that there were some games we could have gained a different end result in. The 1st team have also reached the semi-final of a cup so fingers crossed we might still finish the season with some silverware. The 2nd team have done well in their league; we are just waiting for all the final results to come in but it looks like that they will come second and earn promotion into the next league. The 2nd team are also doing well in their cup competition so more chances there too. Our senior Ladies have performed outstandingly this season and have just missed promotion but they go from strength to strength. The clubs youth and mini section is growing stronger and stronger so the foundations are there for many years ahead.” Stanford Rugby Club is heavily involved within the local community.
