Club Representative Josh Brown recently took the time to tell us more. Involvement He told us, “I’ve played for Worthing RFC since I was 15, so for nearly ten years now. Just over a year ago I decided to help out with the social media within the club, as there wasn’t really much going on. The first thing I did was create an Instagram account which now has over 700 followers and we seem to pick up at least 2-3 followers per day. All news relating to games, fixtures, reports, interviews, events etc. are posted on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and our website.” The Role “The most challenging part of my role is keeping up to date with all news related to the club, as this is all done voluntarily outside of my normal work hours. The most rewarding part is seeing our followers grow and posts being shared and liked. It’s also nice to see other people’s comments on how things are improving.” Atmosphere “The mood within the club is fantastic. We’ve made some big changes within the club over the past year and have a lot to look forward to like our Ladies Day in April, 7s and Beer Festival in July and hosting Music Mania on 29th July.” 76 Issue 61 Youth “Youth rugby is very important as these children are the future of our club. We run training camps alongside Harlequins which seem really popular and it gives the young guns a chance to show their talent.
