The team is more disciplined, 52 Issue 61 working towards the game plan and playing some quality rugby. “We now want to carry on with the good work on and off the field, hopefully ending up with a good position in the league and a financially sound ending with the long waited return of the end of season ball. “The youth section is the life blood of the club, we do not have any local schools that play rugby so this is the only way we can recruit new players. The mini and junior section is about 200 strong with players and coaches at all age groups and meet on Sunday morning. “It is our ambition to ensure that our under seventeen’s continue their rugby to the senior club this year we brought them a set of shirts the same as the first team with all sponsors logos on and involve them in some of the senior training. “We have a large community, getting players from Whitstable and Herne Bay alike. Most of the clubs revenue comes from outside functions; we hold many birthday parties for all ages, wedding anniversaries, wakes, christenings and weddings as well as being available for business use for local meetings. “The club is keen to continue its good work and hope to get back to where we were in London 3, keep the junior section moving forward and remain financially sound.”
