RFC, known as the ‘Eagles’,
are based at Browns Lane,
Effingham. They play a competitive,
social brand of rugby and their main aim
is to provide a chance for rugby players
of any age and standard to enjoy the
game and the rewards the club has to
offer.
50th Anniversary
The Club is celebrating its 50th
Anniversary in 2016 and the anniversary
will be celebrated in style on 7 May 2016

with a grand Summer Ball to be held in a
marquee in front of the clubhouse.
The Summer Ball though is just one
part of the overall 50th Anniversary
celebrations
which
represent
an
important milestone for the Club; Junior
and Mini Section awards events will
take place on the same weekend, and
an Eagles v Surrey President’s XV
commemorative game will be played on
Saturday, 30 Apr 16. In addition to these
events, commemorative 50th Anniversary
clothing will be created, including club
blazers.
