Steve Barber of S.A Baker Construction Ltd. has helped
to maintain and improve the facilities of Yatton Rugby Club
for three decades now. He recently spoke to Rugby Club
Magazine and said, “Although I was more of a footballer back in
the day a lot of my mates played rugby and were involved in the
club and those friendships have brought me into close contact
with the dads and their youngsters who have grown up through
the club.
Over the years I have worked on the ground and buildings
and been happy to help out with the best possible services I
can supply. I have a great admiration for those individuals who
give of themselves to ensure the smooth running of the club,
working extremely hard whilst holding on to their amateur status
and not paying players.”
