We have a few age grade holes we need to plug and in the future we hope to get a Ladies team up and running to supplement the girls section. “Youth rugby is absolutely massive for us. Gary Parsons of Parsons Scrap recently told Rugby Club Magazine, “I am one of the under 16 coaches alongside Richard Lawrence, Mike Bell, Nigel Mundy and our fitness coach Steve Delve. I played prop for Yatton for 8 years from 11 to 18 years old when injury and starting my own business took me away from further competitive playing. My sons both now play for the club. Harry plays No.10 for the U16s and Alfie is a forward for the U10s. The U16s have been plagued by injuries this year which has held the team back, mostly non-rugby related injuries I hasten to add. The seniors are having a great season and I rarely miss a home fixture. My business, Parsons Scrap, has sponsored the club in various ways for over 8 years. We are currently represented on the 1st team’s shirts as well as ground hoardings and our advert appears within the club handbook. I would like to wish everyone associated with Yatton RFC continued success and in particular the 1st XV in their push for promotion.”
