On this day we have an U21 game of old boys v the school 1st XV followed by a vets game. This is then followed by the 1st XV and 2nd XV playing games. On the day the U21 old boys were victorious, the vets won 52-12 and the 1st XV and the 2nd XV both lost. This is followed by a hog roast, Irish band and then a bar and disco is open until 1am. Throughout the day ladies have free champagne and food provided. “Our biggest challenge is retaining and attracting new players. I don’t believe this is just a problem we suffer with but is a wider problem within rugby. With many distractions in London there are less people who seem keen to run around on a Saturday. “Looking forward, there are plans in progress to start work on refurbishing and developing the facilities at UCS Playing Fields.
