Last season Orkney RFC had a fine campaign as they claimed promotion to
National League 3 and also won the BT Club of the Year Award. Chairman
Neil McCartney took the time recently to give us an insight into what has
been behind their success.

He told us, “I moved from Perthshire to Orkney in 1997 and quickly
found that Orkney RFC was a friendly Club which was always
looking to recruit new members. I enrolled in the 1998 season and
