In the coming season we aim to encourage players who were developed through the junior system at the club into the first team squad and hopefully the first XV will get promoted.” Club Captain Harry Russell clubhouse facilities are not big enough to cope with the demands. The next phase of development for the club is to extend the clubhouse and changing rooms to help bring the off field facilities up to the same standard as the playing fields. Falkirk boasts probably the best grass rugby pitches in Central Scotland. That is initially down to a great deal of investment by the club and the continued efforts of our groundsman Bill Arkley and his team of helpers.   In the next 5 years, Falkirk intend to have a 1st team established in the higher levels of Scottish Rugby, a thriving youth section supporting those senior teams with upgraded facilities to make the post-match festivities much more attractive. Falkirk wants to firmly embed themselves at the heart of the community and invite anyone and everyone down to the club to see what we have and what we are trying to achieve. 56 Issue 57
