Adjacent community playing pitches will provide opportunities for schools and clubs to raise the profile of sport within the Duchy. The Stadium however is going to be much more than just for sport. A 400 person capacity business conference centre will be available which will convert into a 200 person banqueting facility. No such facility currently exists within Cornwall. Truro & Penwith College who are partnering Cornish Pirates in this venture will transfer their business and catering schools into the Stadium as their new permanent home. Hospitality at Stadium events will be provided by the students including the provision of a 6 day a week restaurant open to the public. Martin Tucker, Director of Truro & Penwith College believes that, “It is a resource with the potential to add real value to the lives of many people in Cornwall.” Music will be central to the new facility with scope to present major concerts from big name artists.
