Engaging with beneficiaries within their own communities and environments including those facing personal, emotional and physical challenges is a crucial part of our work. Having staff that are passionate about the charity’s aims, their projects and their participants has been integral to the success of the Saracens Sport Foundation. This has been highlighted by being awarded the BreakThru Award at the All Party Parliamentary Rugby Union Group Premiership Rugby Community Awards for the past three years; Scrummy! 2013,Sarries Skills Club 2014 and Get Onside- Feltham Prison 2015. More recently we have been shortlisted as Sport Team of the Year 2015 as part of the internationally recognised Beyond Sports Awards supported by Comic Relief alongside NFL giants San Francisco 49ers, Bundesliga side SV Werder Bremen and Major League Soccer outfit Chicago Fire. RC: How important has the move to Allianz Park been for the Foundation? SS: The community focused approach in the design and use of Allianz Park provides a unique platform from which to base much of our high quality work. The charity is embedded in the culture of Saracens and the stadium move has added great value to the overall charity’s work and reach. We have been able to expand the provision of our pre-existing programmes including holding mass participation dance events as part of our Dance Programme, adding an education hub for our Hitz social inclusion project, the build of a sensory room to support our disability provision and the addition
