kirkby lonsdale show that the boys are keen to push for promotion to National 3 North this time round.” Youth “Our Mini and Youth section is very important to the club, in fact it’s vital. It’s amazing how busy the club is on a Sunday for such a small Market Town considering we have Vale of Lune and Kendal so close to us. As a club we seem to have got it right with the infrastructure and support for the Mini & Youth and I know there are a lot of people who continue to work tirelessly to ensure we do not become complacent and continue to build on it’s success. The vast majority of our players have come through our Mini & Youth section and without it I’m not sure we’d have a Kirkby Lonsdale Rugby Club today. The success we’ve achieved as a club has all stemmed from the Mini & Youth.” The Future “The club is in a fantastic position at the moment; we’re continually improving our facilities and pitches whilst also investing in other areas to allow us to bring more revenue in to the club. All this is done to ensure that Kirkby Lonsdale Rugby Club goes from strength to strength on and off the field and to ensure that it continues to be a fun and welcoming place for members and visitors. For the next couple of seasons I’d like to see the 1st XV consolidate it’s position in North West One and eventually gain promotion to National 3 North. The club as a whole has so much support and so many members who give up their spare time to help out that there’s no doubt Kirkby Rugby Club will continue to go from strength to strength.” www.klrufc.co.uk - Twitter : @KLRUFCInfo www.sportip.biz 33
