hammersmith & fulham Hammersmith & Fulham F irst established in 1978, Hammersmith and Fulham was set up by a group of teachers from Henry Compton school who felt there was the need for a rugby club in the area. On a trip to Lancashire in 1977 they took the decision to make the idea a reality, with the club into existence at the Park Hotel. They held their first training session on 12th July 1978 at Hurlingham Park with a trials match being played against Old Wimbledonains on Saturday 2nd September 1978. Since then they have gone on to put together a history of which they have every right to be proud. At present they continue to play their home games at Hurlingham Park on Hurlingham Road in London and their first team competes in the London 2 North-West League. They are led by Chairman Terry Alleyne who is supported by Secretary Chris Cuthbertson and the club has been progressing well under their guidance. Last season their first team put together a strong campaign as they compiled a record of sixteen wins and just six defeats from their twenty two league matches. This saw them finish in third place in the table with 77 points on the board. This should provide them with the perfect platform from which to build as they look to push on in their 2015-16 camp ZYۋ
