They are based at Westleigh Park on Lutterworth Road and their first team currently competes in National League 2 North. We were keen to find out more about the club and Press Officer Mike Howkins took the time to tell us more about the good work they’ve been doing lately. He told us, “The players are back with a keen and enthusiastic training regime. Last season 14 Issue 57 we had some good wins, but also some disappointing defeats. “National League Division 2 North is competitive, with no easy wins. Players have been keen to show their abilities at this level. South Leicester RFC will be joining National League 2 North for 201516 and look forward to a keenly contested Leicester local derby. “It sounds non-committal but I suppose you could say that last season was ‘satisfactory’.
