falkirk GRS Homes is a Falkirk-based company, specialising in producing prestigious houses for the top end of the market in Scotland. But we make not just houses, but homes, using the best of materials and employing the cream of the area’s tradesmen, incorporating all the necessary skills. Like Falkirk Rugby Football Club, GRS Homes aspires to be the best and we share the same ambitions. As a small company, we provide a quality of house unequalled by any of the bigger builders. We also have a very strong partnership with local firm Arka Architects, and between us we have won many awards from the house building industry in recognition of the homes we build. We’ve been associated with FRFC for many years and share the same ideals and aims. We recognised in the club a shared sense of values, to be as good as we can be. We get along to games as often as possible and sometimes sponsor events on match days. The connection is invaluable to us – a local company forging links with a local club and it’s something we hope to maintain, to encourage us both to prosper and thrive together. receive additional strength and conditioning as well as additional skills training. The club has invested in up skilling all of  their coaches, funding their courses to attain UKCC levels 1 and 2 in rugby coaching. That investment is paying off, with all of our junior teams performing well in their respective competitions, there are also a few players now playing at regional level with 4 players currently in the Caledonia region (covers Falkirk to Shetland and west to the Hebrides) at Under 20 level, one player at U18 and one at U16. There are also some very talented players coming through the Academy who will soon be knocking on the representative rugby door.   All that said, Falkirk is still a community club at heart. One of the things that attracted me to Falkirk and to bring my two sons to the club is that it is an all-inclusive club. Anyone who comes to Falkirk to try rugby will be welcomed. There may be players at the club who will never play for the 1st XV, but it is the camaraderie and warm welcome they receive that keeps them coming back. There is a balancing act to be had between an ambitious club who wants to play at the highest levels of the game and provide opportunities for the ambitious players, and being an inclusive club at the heart of the community. Falkirk is proud to have achieved that balance and that, we believe, makes the future bright at Falkirk.   Community engagement is also a key objective at Falkirk. The club supports the charity Action for Children, which has a project ‘Tyavalla’ in the local area and the kids at the project are invited down on match days to watch the game and welcomed into the clubhouse for a drink afterwards. The club also hosts a Bridge Club and a battle reenactment group that uses the training areas to practice their fighting routines. The sight of a bunch of Highlanders with swords and shields attacking each other in the middle of Falkirk is a sight to behold. The club have also recently welcomed a dog obedience and agility training group who want to use the facilities.   Falkirk Rugby Football and Sports Club is ambitious and has plans to continue to grow the club and further embed it into the local community. One downside of the rapid growth in the past few years is the “I am a general litigation solicitor doing family law, crime and general civil court actions, with conveyancing service for existing clients. My association with the club goes back at least 25 years. I try to go to all the games, home and away although I don’t always manage! We also do travelling to the 6 Nations matches - not all but 1 or 2 each season - and we also have trips to more exotic locations, having been to Dubai, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Ber ]YKؘY
