“I joined Perranporth towards the end of my rugby career,
having moved back to Cornwall and to the Perranporth area in
approximately 1998.
I set up the youth section assisted by a couple of parents at the
start of the 2005/06 season as I wanted somewhere locally to
take my own boys. We started off with a handful of players aged
between 6 and 9 years. It took a couple of years to establish the
mini/junior section and since then each year an age group joined
at the younger end. The section has grown, with squads at just
about every age group from U6-U16.
We are just at the point where we hope to have a Colts side for the
first time for quite a few years, with my Under 16’s moving up into
this age group and we hope to GG&7B
