WAsps Wasps H aving first been established in 1867, Wasps FC currently compete in London 3 North West, London and SE Division and play their home games at the Twyford Avenue Sports Ground in Acton, Greater London. They are led by the team of Chair Richard Green and President Sue Day and the club is looking to progress under their guidance. Last season it would be fair to say that their first team did not enjoy the campaign that they would have liked as they put together a record of six wins and sixteen defeats from their twenty-two league matches. This saw them finish near the bottom of the table with 24 points on the board. They have been working hard during the off-season in order to ensure that they do better this time around. As long as they are able to get some wins on the board early in order to build some confidence then they should be in with a good chance of doing so. Wasps is not a club to focus solely upon their senior section however and this is reflected by the fact that they also have a thriving youth set up. This part of the club looks to provide youngsters from the local area with an opportunity to play the game in a safe and enjoyable environment whilst helping them to reach their full potential. It is important for any club looking to be successful over a sustained period of time to be able to produce their own talent and this is an area they appear to have covered.
