that we are ready to hit the ground running. We’re focused upon
gaining promotion as our main goal and we’ve recruited quite
well during the summer to enable us to do so.
“The moods very positive at the club at the moment with the new
guys that have come in providing a real boost to the group from
last season, particularly in adding to the professionalism around
the place. I think that everyone is just really keen to get going now.
“As a club we play a huge role in the local community; there
is always something going at the weekends. We’ve a big family
day coming up at the end of August for one of our preseason
fixtures that is free for the whole community to come along and
get involved.
“I think from the playing side of things one of the biggest
challenges for us will be the number of good teams in the league.
There will be a lot of tough opposition to play against which is
something we are looking forward to. We had problems with
injuries last season as well so we have worked hard during the off
season to increase our depth in order to combat that issue.
“I know that everyone behind the scenes is keen to make it to
National One level so if I can help in any way to achieve that
ambition or even then push on that would be amazing. We’re an
ambitious club that wants to move forward and to achieve that
goal would be a major boost for us.”
