ast Grinstead RFC is a terrific example of a club
that plays a vital role in their community and
with a fine set up off the field complementing
progress on the pitch they appear to be well
set up for a bright future. We caught up with
their newly appointed First Team Captain Adam Clayton
to find out more about how their preparations for the new
campaign are coming along.
He told us, “This is my second season at the club and I’ve
been made captain this year so it’s an exciting time for me.
I’ve been enjoying the leadership role so far; it’s a good club
with a great bunch of boys here. We’ve got a huge ambition
across the club to gain promotion which makes my job a bit
easier.
“We took a bit of time off but are back into pre-season now
which is pretty tough. The lads have all been working really
hard and with two weeks until our first game it’s important
