The club runs 4 teams at present being
a First Team, Development Team, Youth
Team and a Women’s Team with the First
team ending the season in 3rd place in a
very strong league which we were very
pleased with. The winners of the league,
Beddau, beat the winners of 1 East Central
in the playoffs to gain promotion to the
Championship.
We started a Youth for the first time in
four years but due to the rules of the WRU
had to find all new players and managed
to play seven games which we lost but a
great effort and hopefully they’ll be better
and stronger next season.
The Club are touring New Orleans
and Nashville at the end of next season,
playing 2 games and are looking to
improve on last seasons results with the
same squad and maybe some new faces
with an aim of a good run in the WRU
Plate Cup.

Team Managers, Physio, First Aiders,

Richard Jones is a principal club sponsor of Bedlinog RFC with his
business Smerdon Tree Services (STS) Ltd. He recently told Rugby
Club Magazine, “In 1998 a few of my friends asked me to come up
to Bedlinog Ruby Club and help out with coaching the backs and
I’ve been there ever since. After five or six seasons I stepped down
from the coaching due to family commitments but remained on the
committee taking up the position of Club Treasurer 3 years ago.
I think the senior team’s performance this season has been
exceptional considering that early season we had major concerns
about player numbers. We are essentially a village club and the
team`s commitment has been faultless this season and I would
encourage the guys to continue as they have been doing and carry
this forward into next season and the club and community will
continue to support them.”
