bedlinog Bedlinog Article provided by Hon. Secretary Arwyn Thomas T he Village of Bedlinog itself is situated at the end of a Merthyr Valley in Glamorgan, South Wales; it has a population of approx 2500 people and was for many years a mining village which grew up around the coal mines; its inhabitants are very proud of their mining and Welsh Heritage. The coal mines have all gone now and the Village Occupants have varied trades and professions, but will never forget their forefathers and their mining roots. Alan Williams recently spoke to Rugby Club Magazine, “I played some youth and 2nd team rugby in the positions of centre and scrum half for the club but unfortunately work commitment ended my playing days, I believe one of my last games was on the Chicago tour. I sponsor the club with my business Home Build Property Care and help out when I can. The team have performed very well this year in a tough league and I would like to wish everyone associated with Bedlinog Rugby Club continued success for next season.” www.pitchero.com/clubs/bedlinog - Twitter : @BedlinogRFC www.sportip.biz 77
