Improvement
Youth
“We are getting better. I think the
changes we have brought in in terms
of how we make decisions and how we
communicate with the club mean that
people are beginning to feel good about
the direction we are going in.
In my first year we said we would try to
get the club on a stronger financial footing
and get some plans in place to redevelop
the facilities. We have done that. We have
changed the paid personnel at the club
for the better, our Bar and Food offering
is going where we want it to and our day
to day management has improved.”
“The Minis and Juniors are well
established and we have some former
first team players bringing more of a one
club ethos to our Sunday teams as they
are now bringing their kids to play. We
have a young squad at First and Second
Team Level who are being bolstered by
a very good U18’s team. We might be on
the cusp of creating some very exciting
times at Crown Fields.
Youth rugby is vital to the club. We
don’t pay players. At our level we think
it is unsupportable therefore we have to
offer our players something else - family.

Rugby means families and that is what
we have here - an extended family.”
Facilities
“We have great grounds and if we can
build facilities to match the quality of our
location we will be able to expand. We
are drawing up plans to redevelop the
clubhouse in conjunction with architects
- Urban Aspects and hopefully we will
