erwick Rugby Club is based at 11 Derwentwater Terrace in Northumberland and their first team currently competes in
Division 1 of the BT East Regional League. They are led by President Elliott Hill MBE who is supported by Treasurer
Richard Ayre and the club has made a considerable amount of progress under their guidance.
This season their
first team has been
in fantastic form,
compiling a record
of sixteen wins and
just two defeats
from their eighteen
matches.
This
saw them finish
top of the league
with 77 points on
the board in what
was a fantastic
achievement for the
club.
Their success
was a just reward
for all of the hard
work that has gone
into making them
a success. As a
forward thinking
establishment their
attentions
will
now have turned
towards ensuring
they are successful
once again next
time around and
so long as they can

retain their current
group of players
they should be in
with a good chance
of doing so.
One of the
highlights
of
the
team’s
performances has
been the attacking
brand of rugby that
they have been able
to produce. This
has been reflected
by the fact that
they have racked
up 785 points at a
rate of more than
40 per game which
unsurprisingly saw
them finish as the
league’s
leading
scorers.
This will have
certainly ensured
that any supporters
attending
their
matches
will
have been well
entertained and
