Howard Jones of long standing club sponsor Whittinghams
recently told Rugby Club Magazine, “Our former senior
partner Mr. Whittingham was a very big supporter of the club
and as a company we have continued our sponsorship over
the years.
My son Geraint, who played as a full back at a high level,
played for a short period with Bridgend Sports whilst trying to
recover from a serious ankle injury. It’s wonderful to hear the
club are doing so well and I wish everyone continued success
and good luck for the future.”

“We’re certainly a community club. We share our clubhouse
with the tennis, bowls, squash and running clubs. We are an
associate member of Bridgend Tennis Club and are always
keen to play an important role in the local area. We are well
supported by the local people and are always grateful for the
support we receive.”
Challenges
“The biggest challenge for us moving forwards will be
sustainability. We are aware that there are some clubs
around us struggling to raise sides so we need to keep doing
