bonymaen FOLLOW US ONLINE TWITTER.COM/RUGBYCLUBMAG Andy Gorman is a club sponsor and ex-player of Bonymaen RFC and he recently told Rugby Club Magazine, “I played most of my rugby in West Wales for clubs like Camarthen Quins and was 42 when I played my first game for Bonymaen in their 2nd row although my main position was back row. Moving on from playing I coached rugby for 16 years, eventually having to step down due to work commitments. My son Ross also played for the club but again work commitments shortened his career. There was one game where I was on the bench and my son was playing and it was an opportunity, as I saw it, for father and son to play together. Things don’t always go to plan and instead of playing together Ross got injured and I replaced him from the subs bench. I get along to as many games as possible and it’s great to see the lads playing so well this season. I am a club sponsor too and have been for over 7 years now.
