As a junior WRU club 3 players received Welsh District
caps in the 1990’s. More recently, we facilitated the early
development of a certain George North! In addition, 20 year
old Aron Evans was capped at under
16 level. He plays for us when he is
not required by RGC (they play in the
Championship, one below the Welsh
Premiership) and scored 5 tries in his
most recent outing for Llangefni.
Our major challenges for the near
future are : (a) to reach our budgetary
targets (b) to ensure a good level of WRU
support for grass root rugby (c) to obtain
more sponsorship to add to the generous
support given by our main sponsors Faun

Division 1 North and push for honours.
Our ambitions are multifarious:
promotion this season, a permanent
weights room, match analysis technology,
to acquire more land and provide better
winter training surfaces. Last of all we
want to build on our already fruitful links
with the island’s Secondary and Primary
schools. What this club has learnt in its
short history is that you can never rest on
your laurels!
