lymington mariners The Lymington Sports Association (LSA) The Lymington Sports Association has been formed as a registered Charity with the aim of developing a sporting and recreational community, for all ages, in Lymington. The LSA is made up of six separate sports clubs with over 700m members which are Lymington Mariners RFC, New Forest Hockey Club, Lymington Netball Club, New Forest Volleyball, New Forest Soccer and Lymington Cricket Club. They were granted a lease for the Woodside Pavilion in October of 2014 and have announced exciting plans to improve the facility. This will help the facility to provide a focal point for the local community. Some of the key offerings of the facility will be: Four sports body approved & compliant changing facilities •Ample showering and toilet facilities •Two officials changing rooms •Medical treatment room •Multi role club rooms •Kitchen/canteen facility •Meeting area •Sports Equipment Storage On the 11th February it was announced that they had gained planning permission to develop the Pavilion, marking the start of a new era for sport in Lymington. Mark Seamer, Chairman of the Lymington Sports Association commented, “The decision to grant the planning application gives us an amazing opportunity to drive the London 2012 Olympic legacy forward and not only inspire our generation but more importantly, generations to come.” “Woodside is perfectly positioned to be a place for recreation and sport.
