Skippers have been 1st team shirt sponsor of Maldon Rugby club for 3 seasons. Being based in the Maldon area and with grounds contracts
for the Town council and many local schools it felt natural to sponsor a local team. Although Chris, (the business owner) is not a player of the
beautiful game himself due to some dodgy bones, he has a connection with the club as his younger, much bigger (but less handsome) brother
Simon has been playing for the club ever since he moved to the area. He was pushed into the game at a young age by Chris when they lived
in Suffolk, their parents then moved into a pub in Maldon and there started Simon’s career with Maldon RFU. The pub also was a reason for
sponsorship, many a rugby get-together would be started or finished /mopped up within the confines of the Vic.
Skippers is a grounds maintenance company based in Essex that delivers a friendly and reliable service to a range of customers. From
Town and Village councils, Primary Schools, Secondary Schools, Business premises, Sports Clubs, housing associations, Estates & private
houses.
They offer a wide range of services from contract grass mowing, tree felling, sports pitch care, hedge cutting and planting, litter collection,
winter gritting, floral decorations, paddock maintenance and car park marking.
Their Town centre floral displays in Maldon and Witham have won praise from the Anglian in bloom judges as well as many visitors to the
Towns. With up to date equipment and well trained staff Skippers look likely to carry on with the great work they already do to playing fields
