Club Chairman David Herdman recently spoke to www.
chroniclelive.co.uk about the work, saying, “The only
revenue stream we will have from next weekend will be
from teas and coffees, and we need to furnish the place
because there is nothing inside it. That means the full
official opening will not be until September, but at least
we are on the way.”
With a strong team on the field and some terrific facilities
on the way off it, Consett are a terrific example of a
superbly run community establishment. This is thanks
to all of the hard work that their Committee has put into
making them a success and hopefully they will continue
in the same manner for many years to come.
