est Park Leeds RUFC is based at The Sycamores in West Yorkshire and their first team currently competes in
Yorkshire Division Two. They are led by the team of President Dick Aspey and Chairman Malcolm Kilvington
and the club has made a considerable amount of progress under their guidance.
The club was initially set up in 1959
by masters and parents of West Park
School. The schools Headmaster, MR TL
Mathews was the first President and the
schools facilities were initially used. The
club achieved its’ first major honour in
1969 when they won the Yorkshire Shield.
They quickly built on this success, making
the move to their own ground at the
Sycamores Bramhope in 1970. Throughout
their history, West Park Leeds have
worked hard to retain their amateur ethos
and the traditional values of the game
and will be keen to add to their illustrious
history in the coming years.
