chorley attract new players of all ages, together with other sports which will provide recruitment opportunities. It will also provide the club with financial security for years to come so the sooner we can get this off the ground the better. Maintaining numbers at present will be a big challenge - recruiting youngsters of all ages will be a big challenge for us but one we need to address as player numbers are, at present, going down. Attracting volunteers to help run the club is always a challenge - it's the same old faces doing most of the work off the field but we have managed to secure a long term coach which will help playing wise. Over the coming years we will have a 5 year development plan in place and, with the new development hopefully getting started the next 5 years should be exciting times for the club after a long period of downward spiral. We are hoping to maintain 2 senior teams with the possibility of a Vets/Social side playing once or twice a month; together with getting the Juniors up and running with plenty of age groups playing.” www.pitchero.com/clubs/chorleyrugbyunionclub - Twitter : @ChorleyRUFC www.sportip.biz 21
