NARBERTH FOLLOW US ONLINE TWITTER.COM/RUGBYCLUBMAG Narberth RFC N arberth Rugby Club plays their home games at the Lewis Lloyd Ground in Pembrokeshire and their first team currently competes in the SWALEC Championship. They are a great example of a club that plays an important role in their local community with a number of sides across various age groups. This season, their first team has been in solid form, putting together a record of 11 wins, a draw and 6 defeats from their first 18 matches. This has left them sitting in the top half of the table with 51 points on the board. They will now be looking to finish the season off with a good run of form in order to claim as high a league finish as they can. Not only will this be good for morale at the club but it will also provide them with the perfect platform upon which to build as they go into the off-season. Rugby Club Magazine caught up with Club Representative Bill Ridge to find out more about the good work the club has been doing lately. He told us, “I was attracted by the buzz in Narberth RFC after having playing football previously. I’ve been involved with the club for 25 years but didn’t start playing rugby till 28. It’s never too late though and I still play the odd game! In my role I actually enjoy the financial side, trying to get the figures to stack up, not easy nowadays, tying to be more efficient, that’s not saying I don’t enjoy watching the rugby because I love watching the juniors right through to the 1st team…but I’m no coach and have no interest in that role! 10 Years 20 04 - 2014 Care in Hand Rely on us to care for you ‘Celebrating 10 years of caring for our community’ careinhand.co.uk Head Office: 01834 811 333 Pembroke Office: 01646 681 159 [email protected] Rely on Care in Hand to care for you Are you considering care for yourself or for a loved one but feel confused by care options or worried about making the right choice?
