He told us, “I have been a member at
Oldham RUFC since 1971.When I left
school, I first played rugby league, but
later, when I left the merchant navy, I
became friends with several people who
played at the rugby union club in Oldham,
or “Keb Lane” as it was then called.
This is my second term as President and
I think being involved in the running of
a good Club like Oldham is a big turn on.
The mood of the Club is very good just
now. The first team have won all their
matches except one so far and that was
away at our local rivals Littleborough and
by only by two point
