Having played for Chichester RFC in my younger days, I’m proud to be part of its present and its future through the affiliation with Henry Adams. Our team of experts provide a full range of property related services to help local people and businesses make the most of their property assets. Henry Adams has an on-going commitment to enhancing local community life and rugby has a fantastic following in the area, often sitting at the heart of communities and attracting a wide range of participants and spectators. I feel a great sense of pride that, through our business, Henry Adams is supporting such a thriving and professionally-run club and will be cheering you on next season. since passed a review with a glowing report which is a testament to the hard work their volunteers put into making them a success. One of the standout features of their setup is the superb youth section that they have in place. This part of the club looks to provide youngsters from the local area with a safe and enjoyable environment in which to develop core skills such as selfdiscipline, fair play, strong team ethics and fun. Their community involvement is to be admired and they work hard to promote the game in local schools, having formed a partnership with the School Sports Coordinator Programme and the 52 Issue 52 Chichester District Council to encourage more people to take up rugby. It is important for any club to be able to produce their own talent, particularly in the current financial climate and this is an area that Chichester appears to have covered. It will certainly be exciting to see how their juniors can progress over the coming years. It can be difficult for young players to make the sometimes difficult transition into the senior game and in order to combat this Chichester also have a number of additional sides. This allows them to give players experience of adult level rugby even if they are not yet considered ready for first team action which can be an important step in the development process. Another benefit of having so many sides is that it allows the first XV to benefit from far greater strength in depth. If they are ever left short on numbers through injury or work commitments they have the option of calling players up with a limited amount of disruption. There are few better examples of a well-run, community establishment than Chichester RFC and this is thanks to the outstanding efforts of the people involved. This should enable them to look forwards to a bright and successful future and everyone at Rugby Club Magazine would like to wish them the best of luck. www.pitchero.com/clubs/chichester- Twitter : @Chi_RFC
