Currently, the Club runs three Senior teams every week and has a growing Junior section on a Sunday morning catering for over 130 children of all ages from 6-18. The girls section has also grown over the last couple of years and now has U15's and U18's training and playing weekly. Recently I have been tasked with developing the game of Rugby in this "football mad town" promoting rugby to the wider audience and as a Club we now deliver rugby in all the local Junior schools and support Secondary schools with their delivery of rugby. My personal background has seen me grow through the Club from the first day my dad took me along aged 7 and I have been a part 72 Issue 52 of Burnley Rugby Club ever since. After working my way through the Juniors I have played in all Senior teams eventually having the honour to captain my home town Club for 3 years. I am now player manager with the added goal of recruiting future Burnley players. At present the mood around the Club is very positive as we build towards the Rugby World Cup. As with all community Clubs we are always looking for new blood on the playing front but we are also looking for volunteers who can help coach or support the Club in any way they can. Down at Burnley we welcome all. This attitude has been a major part of our success over the last few years with the great work of the committee and present members
